Activities

CIRFS strongly supports innovation of man-made fibres, through its Research Committe and through its sponsorship of the Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress - the world's largest technical conference for man-made fibres and the textiles made from them.  

Through its affiliate BISFA (International Bureau for the Standardisation of Man-Made Fibres), it sets standards and test methods, and publishes the standard guide to man-made fibres terminology. 

Technical committees and working groups deal with sustainability issues namely environment, burning behaviour, biocidals, chemical products and much else.
